Basic Training Revalidation

This course will satisfy STCW renewal requirements for a mariner who is actively serving on seagoing ships and has completed at least 360 days of seagoing service within the past five years.

Course Summary:

Any student successfully completing this 8-hour course has demonstrated proficiency in the Basic Training Revalidation standards set forth in the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping Code, Section A-VI, 46 CFR 11.302(d) and 46 CFR 12.602(d) provided that they have at least 1 year of sea service in the last 5 years.

Prerequisites:

Students entering this course should have at least 1 year sea time in the last 5 years and possess a valid MMC. Students are expected to be able to read, speak and communicate effectively in English. Also, students are required to be in a physical condition to participate in all strenuous activities associated with the assessments.
