Course Details:
This Crowd Management course aims to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for the training of master, officers, ratings and other personnel on Passenger Ships of STCW Code Section A-V/2.
Upon completion of the course the trainee should be able to:
-Control a crowd in an emergency situation on board;
-Locate essential safety and emergency situation on board;
-Communicate effectively with passengers during an emergency;
-Demonstrate the use of personal life-saving appliances;
-Comply with the ship’s safety and emergency procedures.
Examination:
The examinations are similar in format and content to the examinations given at the U.S. Coast Guard Regional Examination Centers (RECs) and are accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard in lieu of their examinations. Students must successfully pass the simulation involving crowd control AND a written examination with a passing score of 70%.
