CMTI is convenient to all modes of transportation

Air Travel:

The nearest airport is Newport News – Williamsburg International (PHF) which is about 12 miles away.  Other nearby airports are Richmond International (RIC) and Norfolk International (ORF).

By Train:

AMTRAK has stations in both Newport News and Williamsburg.  Both are about 15 miles away.

By Bus:
Greyhound  bus stations are located in Newport News and Hampton about 15 miles away.

By Vessel:

Several marinas are located within 5 – 8 miles of the school.

Driving:

CMTI is convenient to all major highways in the area.  The most direct route for most people is by taking exit 250B from I-64 then follow Route 105 towards Yorktown.  Turn Left on to US 17 north across the George P. Coleman bridge ($2.00 toll), which crosses the York River, and proceed 4.2 miles north.  CMTI is on the left – Look for our huge US Flag flying over the parking lot and our blue Chesapeake Marine Training Institute sign.
