Course Summary:
This course provides training to mariners who wish to obtain an endorsement to their US Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document as Tankerman PIC (DL), while preparing the mariner who has immediate responsibility for loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo. It comprises a specialized training program appropriate to their duties, including oil tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations.
